Quince has been learning to play the trumpet this year.  Being the supportive mom that I am I took him to Milano's and let him pick out his instrument and then promptly bought a mute.  Wouldn't you know that whenever it is practice time that mute disappears :) It seems to have a mind of it's own.  
Quince had his first band concert on Wednesday.  Randy and I were joking about how an orchestra's first concert is a lot squeaker.. (Sorry Chey, it is harder to play a stringed instrument well.)   I was impressed with how much the kids have learned since August.  I love to hear all the instruments together, it finally explains what Quince has been practicing :).  Quince did a great job we enjoyed the performance.
