Sparky meet is over, YEAH!!!

Go Sun Devils!!

Yeah! Cheyenne qualified for State in Long Course today.
Some of you may say, "long course-short course what is the difference?"  Short course is 25 meters long and long course is 50 meters long.  So you have fewer flip turns and fewer opportunities to get a boost by pushing off the wall.  In other words Long course is very difficult.  We just got home from a very difficult meet; HOT, and LONG.
Cheyenne qualified for State in Backstroke and she got a lot of regional times in the other strokes at a lot of different distances.
Congratulations Cheyenne!
Cheyenne's last race today was 100m Butterfly (killer).  She was smokin' the first 50 and was right in the thick of it until the last 25m.  She somehow took on a mouthful of water at the 75m mark (ouch) the last 25m took shear guts.  She managed a 1:38, respectable by most standards but way off the mark for Cheyenne.  I thought she was going to collapse right after the race. I was prouder for her performance on that race than any other.  She didn't give up.
Cheyenne you are awesome.
