The Dating Game

How many of you remember the Television show the Dating game?

                 

It is our inspiration for our camp skit this year.  The girls are having a lot of fun with it.  We are the slippers so of course the girl he picks will be wearing slippers and have all of the right answers.  We have a "hippie" that is all about peace,  a "cowgirl" that is as outdoorsy as a girl can be, a "Hollywood Actress" that is very superficial, and a "scuba diver" that can't think of anything but swimming.  We have had a lot of fun coming up with creative answers to the typical questions:  Favorite Date?, Interests and educational pursuits?, Why would you be the best choice?.

One of my favorite answers:  The Hippie when asked about her interests and educational pursuits answers, "I should not have a problem going to any college of my choice,  I mean really, I got a perfect "10" on my ACT test." Gee I think she will go far :-)

I am glad to be going to girls camp this year.  I am not a big fan of roughing it but the great experiences with the girls outweigh that.  

I remember girls camp being one of the highlights of my youth.  Camp dynamics have changed over the years.  We used to play pranks on each other and really whoop it up.  One year we moved all of the tents from one of the camps to the other end of camp.  You had to be ready to receive as good as you gave.  It was so fun!!!
