Can We Make A Difference?

Lately I have found myself listening primarily to 92.3 FM,  Talk Radio.  I am not sure if this is a good thing or not.  I get so frustrated at the discussions and at times I feel so helpless because I find myself thinking, "what can I do about it."
Everyone has come out against the Reverend Wright but they still refuse to read the writing of the wall as it pertains to Obama.  His website touts:  "Become a part of the largest grassroots movement in the history of presidential politics."  What does that mean?  He has his own agenda and it will not help us.  We will pay higher taxes, allow partial birth abortions.  I went onto his website to read for myself what he is promoting.   I only found how he was fairing in each primary and an invitation to his next rally.  If you want supporters don't you promote your agenda.  He doesn't seem to need to have any policies, people just like to think that they are making a great choice for change.

Why does this man have the ability to put the public in a trance.  I feel like our nation is living the "Pied Piper" story.  They listen and cheer but no one knows exactly what he stands for.  I find this very mystifying.  Are we so foolish as to think that if someone makes us feel good with what they say that he is the best choice to lead our country.

As I was driving down the freeway, with traffic crazy, I was listening to the latest on the campaign trail.  The talk show host asked the same question, "What does Barrack Stand for?" and "why are people so eager to think that he is the answer to all of their problems?"  He referred to it as a repeat of Beatles Frenzy.  As I was listening to all of this is came to me that we are repeating the stories in the Book of Mormon.

Didn't there come a time when the people begged for a king?  And as we all know that eventually they get a unrighteous king that made their lives miserable and persecuted them for being  righteous.  Then as they were being persecuted they were trying to find someone or something to blame.  I see that with our government.

Our nation is becoming those people.  We are more tolerant of alternative lifestyles than of the family unit.  We are allowing our leaders to slowly take God out of everything.   What will it take for us to realize that we have elected people that are really just looking out for their best interest and the interest of those who finance them. We have given them to much of our own power.  We now have to live with the consequences their choices.  Our Legislature is now trying to sue OPEC thinking that that will make things better.  It will only make OPEC mad and we as the common folk will suffer severely for that.  How bad does it have to get before people wake up and take back control by raising our voices and making a difference?  Or have we already surrendered any power we had?

I was so scared by the stark reality that Satan is getting so strong.  I know who wins the fight but I also know that there will be a lot of pain and suffering for all of us before it is over.
If we could just make them see.
